Mark Wiggins

         Mark Wiggins has been practicing law in Northeast Georgia since 1985.  After graduating from the University of Georgia, he was associated with the firm of Cook, Noell, Tolley and Aldridge.  In 1987, he became a partner with the firm and remained in the firm of Cook, Noell, Tolley and Wiggins until 1997.  At that time, Mr. Wiggins opened a solo practice in downtown Athens.  In 1998, the office was relocated to Resource Valley near the Athens-Clarke and Oconee County lines.  The new office affords ease of parking without the congestion and noise of the downtown area.

         Throughout his career, Mr. Wiggins has concentrated his practice in the areas of criminal and personal injury litigation.  His professional associations have included the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (vice president), the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Western Circuit Bar Association (president).  His community involvement has included the Oconee Rotary Club (president), the Oconee Athletic Foundation (board member), the Athens Rifle Club (president), the Clarke County Wildlife Association (secretary), YMCA fundraising,  UGA Alumni Association, United Way of Northeast Georgia, and many other civic endeavors.  Mr. Wiggins is married to Kathy and they have two children, Motie and Laura Slade.  He and his family are active members of Grace Fellowship Church.

Blaine Norris

         Blaine Norris attended Vanderbilt University, then earned a history degree, magna cum laude, from The University of Georgia in 1994.  He was Phi Beta Kappa and a Presidential Scholar. He then attended The University of Georgia School of Law graduating magna cum laude in 1997.  While in law school, he was a member of the Mock Trial Board,  and received four first place mock trial awards, including the Association of Trial Lawyers of America national mock trial championship in Denver, Co.  He was a member of the Order of the Coif, the Order of the Barristers, and the Christian Legal Society (president in 1996), and at graduation was voted by his classmates to receive the William King Meadow Award. After graduation, he practiced construction litigation with Alston & Bird in Atlanta until coming to Athens as a prosecutor.  After trying numerous bench and jury trials, he returned to private practice in August 2000 forming Wiggins & Norris LLC.  He focuses on trial work, particularly business and contract disputes, construction-related matters, personal injury litigation, and criminal defense,   

         Blaine is a past or present member of the Georgia Bar Association, the Western Judicial Circuit Bar Association (Board of Governors 2007-2008), the American Association of Justice (AAJ), and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL).  He is a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church; on the board of directors for The Sudie Clarke Hanger Missionary Care Ministry, Inc.; served on the board of directors for Diakonia Legal Services, Inc., and has also been involved with Teen Pact Judicial Program, YMCA fundraising, the Athens Rifle Club, and the Clarke County Wildlife Association.
