America is one of the safest countries in the world for a reason:  our civil justice system is based upon the idea that all people and businesses owe a duty of reasonable care to prevent injuries to innocent individuals.  Some of the most serious injuries occur when people breach that duty of care by not acting responsibly or carefully, and when that breach of duty occurs (intentionally or negligently) and an injury follows, a legal cause of action may arise.  The injured person is allowed to seek compensation for that injury from the party at fault.

Our system is not always “user friendly,” and it requires the injured person to understand legal concepts of fault, negligence, causation, damages and evidence in order to be compensated.   Insurance and medical issues may also further complicate and delay the matter.  Wiggins & Norris LLC handles personal injury claims on behalf of the injured party.  Our initial consultation is without cost or obligation, and attorney fees usually are charged as a percentage of recovery and are contingent on the outcome of the case.

At our initial office appointment it is helpful to have a copy of the accident report, health and automobile and other insurance policies (including car insurance on all owned vehicles), all medical bills, and a list of questions.  We will review your case, answer your questions, and discuss possible goals and expectations in your case.   If you decide to hire us, and we accept the case, we will prepare a written contract outlining the responsibilities and fees.  You will have all the time you need to review the agreement and ask questions.  We want to help you and look forward to meeting you to discuss your case.
