In our country, all people are said to be protected by a “presumption of innocence”: that is, an indictment, accusation or police arrest does not mean you are guilty. But this protection may seem pretty thin if you have been arrested and jailed, and the presumption of innocence may seem more like a legal theory than a practical reality.

If you are charged with a crime, important legal rights may be waived if you do not take immediate steps to preserve them. We handle misdemeanor and felony charges in and around the Athens area.
