Pre-construction contract review, negotiation and drafting

Construction law is complex, and requires an attorney who is familiar with the unique issues that arise in a construction dispute.  Evolving issues of project delivery systems from construction management, design/build, and fast-track construction all require an attorney who appreciates these, and other, construction distinctions.

By seeking legal advice before the contract is signed and before the job begins, all parties can save a lot of time, money, and headaches.  Pre-construction legal review can help avoid many of the pitfalls and problems that often can come at the end of a job.

Construction Mediation, Arbitration and Litigation

Inevitably construction disputes will require outside legal involvement.
We represent various parties in both residential and commercial construction.  The case may involve relatively informal mediation, or formal arbitration and litigation.  We can assist you in all types of construction cases, including breach of contract, negligent construction, breach of warranty, failure to pay, claims of lien, payment bonds, design defects and construction delay claims.

Construction litigation often requires a great deal of time and energy on the front-end of litigation to review the voluminous construction documents and specifications before a proper analysis of the case can be made.  Even after that review by an attorney, often with construction disputes there are not two sides of the coin, but several, because various trades, professions and suppliers may all have conflicting versions of events and distinct interests.  As attorneys and counselors, we will do our best to investigate the matter thoroughly and give an honest and fair assessment of the case.
